The Forgetful Spuds

I've been very slow about updating our website.  I am finally getting around to do it again. Hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season!!

Since we have our trailer, we decided to try out camping in the fall.  We headed to McCall for a fun, chilly weekend.  The kids were really excited to take a walk and find this bridge.  We also took them on a hike which they thought was pretty fun.
After our hike, we found a beach area that would have been fun if it weren't so windy.  The kids decided it was too cold to play.  Camping in the fall definitely provided a few challenges.  We woke up on our final morning to find the water hose frozen.  Luckily, it didn't freeze the trailer pipes!
Josh was sent to Bozeman for work again this fall, and we tagged along for the trip.  We were excited that there was a home MSU football game that weekend.  The kids were excited for their first live Bobcat game.  Of course, we had to go in Bobcat style, so I made a few winter items for the kids.  The game was a lot of fun even if we didn't win.  Plus, we were part of the first ever stadium stunt at MSU.
As we were leaving the stadium, Anika started to jump up and down and tug on my arm. She had spotted Champ ahead of us.  The kids were so excited to meet him!
It is still hard to believe that our little girl is in kindergarten!  Anika loves school and is doing very well.  It is amazing how quickly she is learning when it comes to reading and math.  We love her first school picture!
Conlin decided to be a Pizza Planet Alien from Toy Story for Halloween.  He was pretty happy with his costume!  He loved saying, "You saved our lives; we are eternally grateful!"
Anika chose to be Princess Tiana this year.  Her costume has 58 petals and took me forever!  She loved it and looked just like a princess, so it was worth it!
The kids really enjoy the Idaho Aquarium.  It is really growing and has some fun exhibits.  Conlin was finally brave enough to touch a sting ray on our last visit.  He was very proud of himself!
The kids were excited to see the new picture boards at the Aquarium.
The last 5 months have been tough for Conlin.  With ear infections, strep throat, and fevers, he's had a few weeks of being miserable.  The last fever resulted in him having a blood draw.  Poor little guy wasn't feeling so great.
Our favorite singer came to Boise this month for a family concert.  The kids (well, and us!) love dancing and singing along with Jim Gill.  Here they are showing off their binocular eyes!
Anika had fun having her little brother share her Thanksgiving feast at school.  The kids did a little program, ate, and played games.
For Anika's sixth birthday, we teamed up with my very talented cousin, Christine, to make a donation to the NICU.  All of the hats will be used as photo props for the preemies in our local NICU.  If you ever want a super cute hat for a kid in your life, you'll have to check out My Sweet Potato 3 on facebook or etsy!
Anika turned six this month.  She requested a "rainbowrific" birthday dinner.  She helped me make her cake this year.  The inside is 6 different colored layers surrounded by a rainbow of M&Ms.  Then, Anika colored rainbow pictures on the fondant with edible markers.  She was very thrilled with it!
For Thanksgiving, we stayed home this year.  Our friends and their little guy came over for dinner.  It was a nice, quiet day.  The kids thought it was fun to help cook the big meal.  They were in charge of the green bean casserole!
The day after Thanksgiving was so much fun.  We took the kids to a breakfast with Santa.  Santa came to each table and gave the kids a sleigh bell.  Then, they got to watch a fantastic magic show.  Santa came at the end and did a little sing along.  Finally, they were able to sit with Santa and tell him all their wishes!
