The Forgetful Spuds

I promised some people that once Josh made the website easier, I would update more.  I had to keep that promise, so here are pictures of our most recent adventure!

For our last camping trip of the season, we headed to Craters of the Moon with my parents.  Josh and the kids had never been there.  We had a wonderful weekend.  This is a picture of the kids with Poppa and Grandma along one of the walking trails.
This is a hill of fine lava rock that is approximately 1/2 a mile.  Conlin walked up and down the entire hill between Poppa and Daddy.  He loved every minute of it.  He was giggling the whole time.
Conlin was so proud of himself after finishing his hike.  Here he is in front of the mountain he climbed!
Anika wasn't as thrilled with the hill as Conlin.  She enjoyed sitting on the bench waiting for everyone else to finish walking.
The kids weren't sure of climbing on the rocks into the caves at first.  However, they did like sitting on them.
Anika liked having Grandma help her walk on the rocks.
Josh doesn't use the camera often, but he finally caught a good picture of Conlin and me!
This was the first cave that the kids enjoyed because it had a huge cavern.  Conlin loved "finding" all of the rocks.
The kids' favorite cave was Indian Tunnel.  We found a great place for a family photo inside the tunnel.
Anika thought leaning against this rock was so much fun that she requested a picture.
By the end of the weekend, the kids were climbing over rocks like experts.  They paused long enough for me to get a quick picture.
Anika loved learning about the different types of rock and nature along the paths.
This is called witches broom.  They used to try to get rid of it because people thought it was ugly.  We thought it looked pretty neat.
This is a view from inside Indian tunnel.  After walking through the tunnel, you walk along the top of it.
